If you are not sure what you want to major in or what career field you want, then here are some tips to help you get started. Deciding on career can be confusing, but it is the first step towards your success and happy life. Ask yourself few basic questions to get started (be honest with yourself):

  1. What do you enjoy doing?
Consider: Do you like to be more active or like seating behind a desk doing some creative thinking.

  2. What subjects do you like?
Consider: Do you like Arts, Mathematics, Science, Technology, or Sport?

  3. What motivates me?
Consider: Say you like Science and you also like health and helping people, then consider a field in medical field like nursing or other related fields.

  4. What are your natural abilities and strength?
Consider: Say you’re natural in Science or Sports, then consider a field in Sports Medicine or Sport Science.
Make a priority list of things that interest you and your value, and then try to find a career/major degree program that fits your interest and value. Once you find your major /degree program that you’re interested then find the right college to help get your degree. Also take a look around your personal life and see if anyone you know has the same major/degree and talk with them to see if your strength and weakness will affect you goal. You should also consider the demand of you major skill now and in the future. Try to pick a major that will be in demand in one form or other.
